Tips For A Healthier, More Motivated You!

January 11, 2023

We’re halfway through the first week of our 10-week challenge, and, like the start of anything new, you can be forgiven for being overwhelmed by the new changes you are making. This is totally normal. Stay calm if your first few days have not gone exactly to plan. Your nutrition might not be perfect. The promises you made to yourself to stop eating so much s**t and start eating more healthily have yet to happen. That gym session you said you would do is still waiting for you. All of this is normal, so don’t worry.

We’ve put together a few quick points below to help you overcome these challenges and push yourself forward.

Don’t try to change everything at once

This is a surefire way to put your mind and body into overload and crave the lifestyle that you are trying to change. The mind will choose the easy way out every single time. So instead, change one or two small things per week.

Sleep

This could be one of the things you want to change or are trying to change, but sleep, which we all need every day, is the most underutilised tool we have at our disposal. Some people wear lack of sleep as a badge of honour. It’s not; it’s the exact opposite. Get better at sleeping, and start now. I include myself in this written kick up the arse. I need to improve mine big time.

Your Why

Why do you want to make a change in the first place? Everyone has their reasons, and you must use this to your advantage. Motivation will come and go. But if you can keep your why close to your mind, you’re much more likely to make that session, even though you might not feel like it. You will eat the right thing more often than not. It’s not an easy process. If it were, everyone would be doing it. But if you can remind yourself why you are doing it, that will go a long way in getting you off the couch!

Water, water, water and more water!

A lot of people struggle with this in general. More water intake means we are hydrated. Being hydrated is essential when working out or exerting yourself through training. It also means a healthier you.

Friends with benefits

No, not the movie or the kind of benefits you are thinking of! Get a friend to go to a class with you, run with you, or grab a gym session together. I have spoken about this before; the positives of having a training buddy are endless.

We’ll be sharing updates, tips and free events throughout the ten weeks, but, as always, we’re just a DM away if you have any questions or need some support. So keep having fun, stay motivated and let’s work hard for ten weeks!
