Our Favourite Award-Worthy Looks From the 2023 Golden Globes

January 18, 2023

The Golden Globes is back for another round, and it’s more glamorous than ever. Aside from celebrating the most outstanding names in film and television, the Golden Globes is also a sparkling day where stars shine best. The annual awarding ceremony lays down its carpet to showcase the most elegant looks, and we are all here for it! Clad in the most beautiful ensemble, hair, and makeup, the names that maketh Hollywood filled the day with glitz and glamour, fuelling existing beauty trends (90s blowout, here we go!) and setting the tone for future ones. Below, we round up our favourite looks that deserve a golden trophy of their own!

Lily James was truly a vision when she walked into the red carpet with her 90s supermodel blowout! She hit the throwback buttons even harder with her Audrey Hepburn-inspired makeup look, using Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic CreamBeautiful Skin Foundation, and Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer. And to seal the deal, she brought back Old Hollywood with her bright red strapless gown by Versace.

The Wednesday star surprised everyone when she stepped on the red carpet looking more like Enid than Wednesday. Jenna turned heads with her short bob and curtain bangs, which also live up to the copper hair trend. It goes perfectly with her ethereal cut out Gucci gown! It’s a far cry from her all-black, gothic numbers in the series, and now that Season 2 is on the table, we’re saving this look before we jump back into her grunge aesthetic!

Michelle Yeoh’s 2023 Golden Globes stint is like no other – after 40 years in the industry, she finally bagged the Best Actress Award for her role as Evelyn Wang in Everything Everywhere All at Once! But if we’re being honest, it’s not all she won – she also got our hearts! Michelle looked stunning in her midnight blue Armani Prive peplum gown, detailed with silver sequins that made her shine even brighter. She let her hair down and flourished it with a side part. Indeed a look that will make us love doing laundry and taxes with her!

Selena Gomez rocked a high ponytail and a peachy, natural makeup look for the Golden Globes. She was nominated for Best Television Actress in a Musical/Comedy Series for her starring role in Only Murders in the Building. Though she didn’t get the award, Selena still won with her show-stopping Valentino gown with an off-shoulder bodice and thigh-high slit. And as if that’s not enough pizzazz, it also had dramatic puff sleeves and a long train!

Margot Robbie channelled her inner Barbie girl (we can’t wait for her movie!) as she wore a pink ensemble. The intricately angular and sequined Chanel gown paired perfectly with her subtle pink makeup look. Her glam team also added a touch of body makeup to make the dress shine better. After all, it took 750 hours to make, so it deserves a spotlight of its own!

Anya Taylor-Joy dazzled the Golden Globes with her two-piece Dior gown with a bandeau top and skirt. She paired it with her bold eyeshadow look that features more enticing Dior must-haves: the On Stage Waterproof Liner and 5 Couleurs Couture. The Queen’s Gambit star wore her hair down with one side pulled up in a twist and accessorised with her statement gold-and-diamond necklace and matching bracelet.
