10-Week Fitness Challenge: Week 3

What’s up, everyone? Week two of our ten-week challenge is complete, and things are going very well for our three challengers. We hope you’re following along and enjoying it.

For those joining us on the plan, the sessions will stay the same again this week. Check out the training plan HEREYou can increase the weights slightly, but the main thing is you are getting the sessions in and living a healthy and fit lifestyle for the ten weeks.

Why keep the sessions the same? 

Trainers, coaches, fitness instructors, and PTs love to confuse clients with workouts that are too complicated to follow, too much equipment required and too many exercises that you won’t be able to master or see any progression with. 

It’s essential to stick with the same compound movements and get strong at those movements. When you are at a level of strength and fitness that you can mix it up, then you can progress towards another range of exercises and movements. Keep it simple, progress at the simple stuff, and you will see the benefits sooner and enjoy it more. 

 

When will we change the program?

Usually, around 4-6 weeks is the standard time frame for a program change. It is not custom or advised to change exercises weekly. However, that still doesn’t mean you need to change all of the exercises. You can play around with weight, tempo, rest time, and training frequency. Loads of different variants keep you from hitting a wall regarding progress.
