There are many scenic walks across the UAE, which are less than 90 minutes away from Dubai. Here, we round up three of our favourite hiking trails.

Wadi Shawka

Wadi Shawka is just an hour away from Dubai and caters to all fitness abilities. Shawka is a very popular area for hiking, walking and running, so you’ll always meet other people while exploring. You can go for a quick walk or make a full day out of it. Irrespective of how long you intend to walk, you will enjoy incredible views. The trails are well marked, making it easy to stay on track so you will not get lost.

Al Rabi Trail

Coordinates: 25.339488, 56.359157

Situated 85 minutes from Dubai, Al Rabi Mountain is among the most popular and easiest hikes in the Emirates. The trail is easily marked, and you will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding areas. If you intend to complete the 6km route, it will take three hours at an average walking pace. If your legs are stiff after the walk, you can have a quick swim in Khorfakkan Beach straight after.

Wadi Abadilah

Wadi Abadilah is just under 90 minutes from Dubai and has gained popularity with hikers, offering picturesque scenery.
