While the weather is still bearable, how about some adrenaline-pumping outdoor activities? The UAE is home to some incredible hidden gems when it comes to adventures! Here are a few of our favourites!
Fly Down the Longest Zip Line in The World!
If you want to turn the adrenaline up a notch on your outdoor activities, the world’s longest zip line should do the trick! Located in Jebel Jais, which is the highest point in the UAE, this zip line is definitely something that should be on your adventure bucket list.
You’ll fly through the beautifully scenic Ras Al Khaimah mountains at a whopping speed of up to 160kph at heights reaching 1680 metres above the Arabian Gulf. The 2.8km zipline lasts for a heart-pounding three minutes, and you’ll take off from a transparent platform in the middle of a mountain!

Ride the Jais Sledder
The Jais Sledder is a one-of-a-kind experience for the whole family! The sledder sits on a low-slung track and swerves and dips through the Hajar mountains with beautiful views of the coastline. The sledder reaches speeds of up to 40km per hour as you fly down the mountain range. Because you’re seated so close to the ground, it’ll feel like you’re flying much faster! After your sledding, you can head to 1840, the highest restaurant in the UAE for a drink and a bite to eat to ease the adrenaline.

Mountain Bike Through the Hills of Hatta
Whether you’re looking for a challenging track or a gentle mountain bike experience, Hatta is the place for you! The Hatta Mountain Bike Centre offers over 50km of diverse tracks divided into different grades based on your experience level. You’ll ride through the stunning mountainous areas of Dubai’s largest National Park. Bikes are available to rent at the centre, but if you have your own, you can take it along.

Climb the Via Ferrata
If you’ve always fancied scaling a mountain, the Via Ferrata is the perfect place to start! Via Ferrata (iron path in Italian) is an exhilarating cross between mountaineering and rock climbing and is suitable for all experience levels. The course runs over three separate mountain hikes connected by three zip wires measuring 50, 60 and 300 metres. You’ll have a full safety briefing beforehand and you can choose from three routes depending on your experience (and adventure) level.
